Have you ever felt like it’s difficult open your heart, to trust that joy is possible, especially in difficult times? Over the last few years I have seen so many people struggle with this. By now I think we can all agree that it has been difficult to find joy or calm with all the intensity in the world.
Let’s create healing connections together.
For the past 15 years I have been researching the effects of creating with intention and heart connection. I have found that when we are struggling with anxiousness or depression or trauma triggers the act of creating intentionally directly effects the sense of wellbeing. I LOVE teaching this process. It is so amazing to watch people truly express the wellbeing they are longing for. I believe the heart of the matter is radical self-love. In each heart art workshop there is ample opportunity to explore self-love through nurturing connection, Inspiring creativity, embodying your true inner wisdom, and sharing with others who are also on this soulful journey.
How does one create change?
creativity & heart connection.
Intentional creative processes & breath awareness are a way to create change. Thoughts, focused attention and breath awareness inform the experience of the moment. Neuroscience has proven that thoughts have a direct effect on physical experience. It demonstrates that the physical structure of the brain and biological processes in the body change in response to breath awareness + intentional thought. This means we can directly affect depression, anxiety, pain and stress by practicing focused breath awareness, and intentional processes. Then when we add to that a creative expression, like Heart Art, we give ourselves a new experience. It has never occurred before, and this novel creative experience is now a material form that we have brought into the world. Isn’t that amazing? It means we are actually creating a new experience for ourself. Think about that…old mindsets and maladaptive coping mechanisms can change during the process of intentionally creating. The key is that we are creating (mindfully, intentionally) a new experience. Later, we can draw on the new experience as a potent reminder of potential for feeling a different way.
